Eleven years ago the state of California legalized marihuana for medical reasons such as chemotherapy, pain treatment and other ailments. Since then all you need to get marihuana legally is a note from the doctor. However, this State law is not in order with Federal law. The federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) still does not approve what is happening in California. "Marihuana can help treat medical ailements, if the drug is carefully used" says the National Academy of Sciences. This description of careful use does not apply to whatever's happening in California. Pot shops are opening on every corner, gangster rapping drug dealers pop-up and space chocolatemilk is being prescribed to heal the most rediculous medical ailments. Check out this "60 minutes" report, aired 30 december 2007 on CBS. Part 1 (6 minutes)
